This is one of the most amaing filks I've ever seen! It's made me laugh far too much today.

Just remembered this--several weeks ago, some of my roommate's more puerile friends wrote some fairly rude things on my name sign on my door, one of which was "Hoe! Hoe! Hoe!". So, within a day of this being there, the very excellent nebanebet writes "RAKE! RAKE! RAKE!" and then lawnornament17 made the first "h" into a "y" and added "and a bottle of rum!".

I'm part of a GN08 presentation on friday, our "presentation of the event" to the Executive Committee. Except, I received a series of miscommunications on what my actual role in all this is, so I found out yesterday that before friday morning I have to

1)get with the kitchen director to find out what precisely he wants in the way of china
2)get samples of these pieces, as well as vendor quotes
3)get samples of various types of glasses, as well as more vendor quotes
4)pick up samples on friday morning
5)put together a powerpoint detailing all of the information above



To do list (detailed)
-talk to Jake about his choices for plates
-look at glasses at The Linen House
-order samples from The Linen House
-call Jordan at The Linen House and get quotes from her for water goblets, white wine, red wine and champagne flutes
-arrange to pick up the samples around ten, not noon
-go to Any Occasion and look at plates
-order china samples from Any Occasion
-get china and glassware quotes from Any Occasion
-get china and glassware quotes from A Finer Event
-put together a powerpoint including the above information
-email ppt to Jim
-go and pick up china and glassware samples
-give presentation
-don't die

This scares me. GREATLY. Especially the twit who is apparently unaware that places where abortion is prohibited have some of the highest rates in the world, as well as the highest mortality rates.

Got back from the river yesterday. Much to talk about, but no time in which to do it. I promise to stop being such a bum soon!!

So as you might've noticed, I started doing some f-list and community trimming. If I've removed you, it's nothing personal, it's just that we don't communicate much lately, or we just don't have that much in common, or you neve update. I don't really think I've removed anyone who'll be too fussed about it, though. Anyway, I've done this in hopes that a smaller flist will make it easier for me to be a better and more attentive LJ friend. More cuts, mostly of the community variety, will be completed shortly, as well as other big changes. Keep a weather eye on this journal in the near future : )

So I'm sitting here in a review session for my history final on wednesday, and one of the guys just made a wiki page for us to post our notes and summarize the chapters from the texts that might be on the test. I might actually get the A I need to do well in this class. Huzzah!!
